Mott Community College

The Institutional Research Office maintains primary accountability to provide decision-making support to the College community, and to represent the institution to external stakeholders who seek data and information to better understand the strengths and challenges of the College.

Increasing demands for institutional accountability require that the College provide information in a systematic, timely and thorough fashion, and reporting requirements associated with Strategic Planning, state and federal Performance Indicators, Accrediting Agencies, the Federal Student Right to Know Act, and other external forces require Institutional Research to develop and deliver reliable and understandable information and analysis of data.  I. R. includes activities directed at describing the full spectrum of educational, administrative and support functions occurring within the College, and employs data collection and analytical strategies in support of decision-making at the institution.

Services to the College community include standardized and ad hoc reports, data to support grants and special projects, survey development, administration and analysis, assessment of student learning, evaluation of programs and services, and environmental scanning.
